Teaching Philosophy
Quiet the Noise, Hear the Wisdom Within
The Method Is the Medicine
I don't believe in teaching from a pedestal. I believe in learning alongside you, in letting the plants lead, in honoring the lineage and the living questions that brought us here.
LUMARANA's teaching philosophy is simple:
The plants are the teachers. The questions are the curriculum.
The journey is the lesson.
Science and Safety
We start with the molecules. I want you to know what's in the bottle, what's in the plant, what's in you. We build molecular literacy—not to impress anyone, but to give you a foundation you can trust. Safety isn't a box to check; it's the ground we stand on.
The Question-Centered Approach
Every oil, every blend, every attar carries a question. This is Andrea's teaching, and it's the heart of mine. I don't give you answers—I help you ask better questions. I guide you into direct relationship with the plants, where you learn to listen with your whole body. The goal isn't memorization. It's embodied understanding.
From Literacy to Consciousness
The chemistry is the doorway, not the destination. Once you have the foundation, you can begin to access the deeper layers of the plants' wisdom. You start to see the plants not as resources, but as family. You begin to understand that the same intelligence that animates the stars animates the soil, the seeds, and your own sacred body. This is the journey from knowledge to wisdom, from the head to the heart.
Reclaiming Inner Knowing
The ultimate goal of my teaching is to help you reclaim your own inner knowing. We live in a world that tells us to trust external authorities—doctors, scientists, gurus. LUMARANA is an act of rebellion against that paradigm. I believe you are your own ultimate authority. The plants aren't here to give you answers; they're here to help you remember the answers you already carry within you.
My job is to quiet the noise of the outside world so you can finally hear the wisdom of your own soul. I'm not here to teach you what to think. I'm here to help you remember how.
How We Practice
Direct Experience: You'll blend, smell, taste, and feel. You'll make mistakes. You'll learn from them. You'll discover what works for you.
Living Lineage: This isn't just my teaching. It's Andrea's, and her teacher's, and the plants' themselves. You're joining a lineage that's still alive, still evolving, still learning.
Gentle Guidance: I'm not a guru. I'm a companion, a witness, a builder. I'll walk with you, not ahead of you.
Sacred Space: This is a home, not a classroom. You're a guest, not a customer. The plants are the true teachers.
If you're ready to learn from the plants, to ask better questions, to reclaim your own knowing—welcome home. The door is open.
