Reclaiming divine masculinity

Reclaiming Sacred Masculinity

I'm a man trying to remember what that means. Trying to strip away the bullshit, the confusion, the shame, the violence we've inherited and been taught. Trying to find the sacred masculine—the protector, the caretaker, the anchor and the antenna. The animal, the ancient, and the sacred.

The plants are teaching me. I'm listening, learning, walking the path they're showing. This is Samgama. And I'm inviting you to walk with me. As brothers. Together, we learn from the plants, reclaim what it means to be a man, and bring that to the world.

We work with Mother Nature—we don't fight her.

Three Recent Threads

As I sit with these plants and make the blend I will teach you—layer by layer, oil by oil—these are some of the meditations that have come up. Examples of the sort of work we do inside these doors:

  • The Animal: We are mammals. Our bodies have desires, instincts, and a wisdom of their own. This is not something to transcend or control, but to meet with reverence.
  • The Ancient: We are part of an unbroken lineage stretching back millennia. The love, the desire, the sacred unions of our ancestors are part of our cellular memory.
  • The Sacred: Sexuality can be a profound spiritual practice—a covenant, a recognition system, a prayer. The moment of seeing another and saying, "There you are. I see you. You are home."

The Brotherhood

Samgama is more than a teaching—it's a community. A space for men to come together, to redefine masculinity for ourselves, to be ourselves, and to bring that to everyone and everywhere. This brotherhood is where we find acceptance: acceptance within our own person being who we are and being uniquely male within that—so we can accept the men around us and through that learn to accept the world—so we too can walk forward with love, truth, and freedom.

The work happens in the Samgama community space, in dedicated blog posts, and through the plants themselves. This is us finding who we are.
